25/04/2013.- The Málaga Convention Bureau, the Department of Tourism's agency for developing and promoting conferences and incentives is holding the IBTM Talks event on Friday morning. This will be the first time an educational session on this important sector is held in our city.

Russia is included among the strategic markets in the Málaga Convention Bureau's master plan because of its sustained growth in recent years. In fact, according to information published by the National Statistics Institute (INE) yesterday, in the first quarter alone, the number of travellers staying in hotels in Málaga has increased by over 150%.
Therefore, the director of PAP-FOR Projet Exhibitions, Elizaveta Artemova will offer a training session that gives Spanish service suppliers an overview of the way of doing business successfully with Russian meeting planners.
To date, the event, to be held in José Carlos García restaurant on Muelle Uno, has over 120 registered attendees. These will have the opportunity to discover the situation in the Russian market and the best strategies for congress planners working in this market.
According to the Director of Málaga Convention Bureau, Francisco Quereda, organizing an IBTM Talks event is a great opportunity for the city of Málaga, because local members can obtain information on such an important emerging market as Russia for our destination.
Furthermore, Quereda stresses that the fact that the world's largest trade fair organizer of the meetings and events industry, Reed Exhibitions, has chosen Málaga to hold a training session reveals the consolidation of our city as a leading destination for meetings and events.
